Welcome
At Carlisle, learning and living with peers and committed, caring adults creates a community consistent with our mission. The experience of being away from home instills a sense of confidence and responsibility, thus providing a smoother transition to college. Boarding life grants students the opportunity to strengthen their character, while maintaining supportive relationships with those around them. You will meet people from all over the world, and will get to know them through studying together, sharing fun times in the boarding house, participating in the arts and athletics, and enjoying weekend trips and activities.

Residential Life
Carlisle's expanded campus now includes two residential boarding homes for both our international and American students. The 'family feel' of our boarding program helps students truly feel at home away from home. Both houses offer a large living area with fireplace, entertainment center for T.V and games, large kitchen and dining areas, and back porch overlooking the local golf course. Each house will accommodate 8 students, with each student having their own desk, bed, and dresser, bookshelves, and storage.
Live-in house parents provide guidance and support. The boarding houses are just a short walk away from the school's main academic buildings.
Student Support
Small class size allows students and faculty to form close relationships. In addition, all students meet with their academic advisor on a weekly basis. Our faculty and staff take a personal interest in the well being of our boarding students, as we understand that it is sometimes difficult to be far from home. It is our goal to make students feel welcome and at home during their stay with us. One-on-one college counseling is also provided to help students locate colleges and universities that will best meet student needs and preferences. The college planning process includes seminars and newletters, individual counseling meetings, practice SAT and ACT testing, and campus recruiting visits from colleges and universities.
Activities
Studying away from home is not only about education in the classroom, but it is also about learning from daily experiences. Our program is dedicated to ensuring that our boarding students have many opportunities to have fun and make friends. Weekly activities and entertainment options are provided, such as music concerts, theater, sports events, movies, shopping, and day trips. You will also have the opportunity to visit New York City and catch some shows or Washington, D.C. to learn all about our nation's capital. Other fun trips include skiing/snowboarding and an outdoor mountain adventure.
Chatmoss Country Club
Chatmoss' many amenities include an 18 hole J. Ellis Maples golf course, driving range, and putting practice green. The Sports Complex contains three indoor hard tennis courts, workout facility, hitting wall and six outdoor clay tennis courts, three of which are lighted for evening play. The Olympic-sized Swimming Pool with wading pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. The pool includes a full-trained staff for water safety instruction and a snack bar.
