AP Capstone Diploma Recipients 2026
AP Capstone Diploma Recipients 2026
Carlisle School is proud to celebrate three Upper School students who earned the AP Capstone Diploma this year: Maxine Garrett ’26, Anderson Haymore ’27, and Layton Thomas ’27. Since Carlisle began offering the AP Capstone program in 2021, more than 10 students have earned this prestigious distinction.
AP Capstone is a College Board diploma program built around two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. The program emphasizes student-centered learning and performance-based assessments while developing skills in critical thinking, academic research, collaboration, presentation, and time management. These skills help prepare students for success in college and beyond.
To earn the AP Capstone Diploma, students must earn a score of 3 or higher in both AP Seminar and AP Research, as well as on four additional AP Exams of their choosing. This is an outstanding academic achievement, and the AP Capstone Diploma is recognized on students’ AP score reports sent to colleges after the award has been conferred.
Congratulations to Maxine, Anderson, and Layton on this impressive accomplishment! We are so proud of all they have achieved.
Carlisle School is an independent college preparatory school empowering students to achieve their personal best by fostering a community of character, intellect, and leadership.
